I appreciate all of your work and your wonderful stories that carried me away anytime I needed a break from life. So here is my list and I have to say a huge thank you to all the authors who made 2020 better for a fellow author in Charleston, South Carolina. He bugged me for months to read Cemetery Boys and I’m so glad I did. Lastly, I need to give a shout out to my son and fellow book lover, Percy Franyo. Ann and Fiona Cole this year and I’ve really enjoyed their books and I’m happy I found them. It had everything I love in a great story: action, adventure, great characters and plenty of steam! I also discovered Jewel E. I truly enjoyed every second I spent reading that book. I put the books in categories and I chose not to rank them, but if I were forced to pick a favorite it would have to be Sea of Ruin by Pam Godwin. I tried to do a top ten list but I read more books this year then ever before and When I tried to cut down my list, I found I just couldn’t. A few books made me genuinely upset that they were over and that’s always a sign that they will be on the list at the end of the year. Sometimes I would go on a tear needing all the angst and tears and then I would burn out from the pain and need a light hearted rom com to chase away my book hangover. Perhaps, together, they can learn how to live.It was a great year to get lost in a good book. Why should the end of the world be any different?
